near 1700 now and depends on which models / make of engines and how good of care you take of them.

05' 21hp Kawasaki apparently the newer Kawasaki's are not doing so well from what I am seeing in the forums.

I have a 15hp Kawasaki fh430v it's got 1900 hours on it and has had nothing done to it. I also have a 19hp fh581v I just installed new rings in at 700 hours. My buddy/old helper works for a pretty big landscape company and they have the Toro grandstands with 4000-6000 hours on original engines yet, some didn't make it to 2000 on the same crew.

My grasshopper has 2200 and the rings are gone and the block is cracked. It needs a short block and heads. They all wear out you just gotta fix em.

We buy new every 5 years/3000 hours. I take very good care of my machines and they still have a ton of life left in them at 3000 hours. I have operated machines with 5000+ hours and have seen 7000-8000 hour machines. Its all in maintenance IMO.

Sure is I have to most myself hate to say it but if the shop here touches my machine I usually have 3 extra trips to make to let them fix their first and second fixes that was not done correctly, even the most simple things sometimes.

Like they have my rpms over adjust throttle is full at 65% in which has now caused a leak in my main seal on my Kawasaki. Only 1 machine around here with more hours on it I know about same model as mine 2000+ range I know now mine will most likely be dead before that mark now I checked it over this weekend and found these issues.

93 Grasshopper with 2k on it. Nothing done with the motor. I have replaced all bearings, drive shaft, alternator, hydro pump rotor, wheel pump rotor, motor mounts, and now the plate that holds the starter. Also own a 2011 kubota zd 326. I've replaced one belt and it has 1200 hrs. I had a Toro timecutter I first started out with. It had to have 1.5k hrs when I got rid of it. 2 motors and rebuilt the deck.

We have an exmark lazer 60 with a 23 kohler with 3800 on it right now. Once it hits 4k We are going to buy a new zturn or repower it, havent decided yet. The only thing we have had to do with it is regular maintanence, and replace a few pto swtiches
