Sulfur in fertilizer

Looking into different fertilizers for the coming year and was noticing the varying amounts of sulfur in them. I know sulfur lowers PH but what other functions does it serve? My soils are acidic so should I be selecting blends that have lower amounts of sulfur?

Sulfur works with the nitrogen to produce proteins for plant growth, Plays an important role in the utilization of oxygen by the plant, Encouages beneficial soil micro organisms

As far as the acidic ph levels, I run two lime apps, one in fall and one in spring for most my fret customers, this keeps a more balanced ph throughout the year

Sulfer is usually included as part of the coating on urea. Sulfer coated urea.
