Topdressing peat vs. compost
Anyone have experience topdressing with peat? Any benefits over compost either in the biology or maybe it's easier to spread through topdresser ???? I'm curious on this subject.
I came across this company Peat Inc. out of MN. http://www.peatinc.com/ Curious to see what you think the pros and cons would on the two. Feedback would be appreciated. |

Compost is sustainable, which IMO is the only factor worth considering between the two.

Use peat for blueberries. Its PH is very low. I would not use it on lawns. On lawns compost is the way to go but you do not want to put too much. With too much you can get out of balance with your potassium to calcium ratio and phosphorus to calcium ratio.
