Tire Chnage Question

Ok, so I was looking on you tube on how to change the tire on a lawnmower because I have two tires coming in and dont want to pay the shop to do it. And after watching a few videos on the right way to do it, I came across this one. How dumb is this or is it actually a brilliant way to get the tire to bead?

another way is to use a rachet strap around the tire and tighten it down really tight while pumping air into it. i've done it on the smaller front castor wheels a number of times.

I've used this method sucessfully before, but I usually tie a rope around the tread, get a big screw driver and twist the rope until the center of the tire, pushes the tire to the edge of the rim. Then blow the tire up with the compressor.

This is how I do it...I've use trimmer string several times to re-seat my TruTrac tires.
