If I can ask, how do the ECS controls work with a belt drive? How does it differ from a dual hydro drive with ECS?

Reverse is powered by "armstrong".
As for the actual levers on a belt drive ECS, they are very similar to operation on a belt drive pistol grip. Once you stop the mower, you must move the gear transmission to the "reverse asset" and then release the levers while "helping" to pull the mower backwards. On a hydro, once you squeeze the levers harder, it reverses without "armstrong" power. While this belt drive is harder to muscle on a 48"+ mower, it is very quick and easy on a 36" deck. On this mower, you get a great floating 36" deck at a price point of a gear drive mower. |
