Got a new toy yeterday

I know lots of people don't like the deckover dump trailer,But it fits my needs.
Traded in my old 5x10 utility for a 6x10. it wasn't expensive either.I put one 2x12 on each side.Next week will weld extra pockets to put another 2x12.will be able to haul 7-8 yards mulch easily.
I traded my 5x10 for 450.I knew I could have gotten a couple hundreds more if i posted it here but not having the time to go back and forth showing the trailer kinda costs me more

forget welding on more pockets ... make sides out of expanded metal like above. My buddy did that to both his dump trailer and dump truck ... said because of the lower wind resistance when towing or driving the dump he saved a good amount on gas. Also its nice for if you decide to use a truck loader for leaves as the expanded metal will make for good ventilation so the leaves will pack better

You make a very good point.I was thinking mesh on the gate only, but may consider doing sides.Don't know yet. Here is how my older trailer used to look like when i traded it in.

I would leave the sides for mulch and cleanups, but remove two of the upper 2x12s.Part of me says I should have kept it ,But other parth says get rid of it because it will just sit now I have the dump.all sides can be removed

Thanks
It is called Griffin by Chubbs Steel inc.
It loaded with the nicer lighting, higher front wall, pockets for wood, barn gate and powder coating.

Nice trailer, you'll have to keep us updated once you put the side on.
