Did I do something wrong?
I sprayed my yard with Lesco 3 Way. Mixing 1oz per thousand and 3 gallons per thousand. I did my yard and it now looks like this after about a week. This is rescue grass that it did a number on so I am guessing I might have done something wrong.

Most turf can handle 1.5 oz per thousand but 3 way is best applied at ONE gallon a thousand. But what I believe might be the problem is a Heat restriction on the label. This winter has been super warm here in the South. .

Are you saying that you sprayed 3 gallons along the sidewalk?

No. A rate of 3 gallons per thousand.

Crazy winter, if you want to even call it winter. We have been warm all winter here in northern Illinois. At most we had 6 inches of frost in the ground mid January but didn't last long.

How the heck did you smoke Rescuegrass with a broadleaf weed killer? You must have had a hot mix. What were you spraying with?

Dawg makes a good point. Give us full details. Hand sprayer? Skid sprayer? Backpack? Agitation? Fert included? Did the broadleaf weeds die? What pressure? How many gallons per minute? Same in front yard and back? What about other lawns sprayed that same day? Are there any spots you missed?
Was the sprayer cleaned out? Hose, too? Any anti-freeze in it? Was Roundup used in the sprayer last? Does it smell like Three-way? Does sprayer smell like Roundup? |

I don't know what happend. This is my own yard thank god.
I sprayed it about 4 weeks ago and just a few weeds died if at all. I didn't put much on it at all really. If I remember correctly I think I had just mixed a new batch and it may have ben spraying like air you know. chchchchchc noise. I wonder if that is what did it. Maybe it was pulling what was in the bottom of the tank. I guess this means the agitation could have been bad. The tank has never had round up in it. I have never cleaned it out. All I have been using is Lesco 3 way.

Oh and the weeds that did die I don't even know what they are because they are black. Killed them within 4 days. But I started on the parkway and then did the left side front and that is where it seems to be the worse. On the right side of my house it seems to be just fine.

Hmmm...not accusing you of anything. Examples of problems I have seen. A homeowner refilled a Weed B Gone squirt bottle--with straight Weed B Gone--no water. Dead spots. At TruGreen a spray guy had a lot of burns spraying urea and Trimec--turns out the paddle agitation had not been working for about a week. One time I had a lot of fert burns and some trees that looked bad. Turns out I had added the fert and Trimec and the Manager finished up and put the truck away. Next day I did 17 lawns, but the manager had not added the required 600 gallons of water.
Take a look at your trees. Since Three-way contains dicamba which can kill trees by root absorption...I hope your trees look OK. Do you remember the odor as stronger than usual that day? Does the soil have a bit of chemical odor left over from that day? I know of a case where the return line was plugged with last year's pendimethalin--pressure was way too high because excess pressure could not return to tank.
