http://www.textrail.com/ http://www.andersontrailers.com/utility_trailers.php here ya go, I did some leg work.. unless you found the ONE trailer "shop" in the world that managed to make a 5 lug 5000 lb axle, it aint what you think it is.. springs replaced or not. if the axle cant hold it, it cant hold it.. its basic, 5lugs are ALWAYS gonna be 3500 lb axles on a 6x10 or 6x12 utility trailer.. all I'm saying is if thats what they told you it was.. go and demand your money back.. |

Thinking about adding another trailer anyway so if the cost of putting another axle on this then this may just get used as the new trailer . We shall see. Thanks for the legwork.

Yah I'm not busting your chops (although I had so much fun on the sod post haha ) that would be the first 5 lug 5k lb axle I've seen/heard off and even the major manufacturers don't advertise them. I would look into it if it was me, A lot of shops advertise about their "heavy duty" parts and they simply aren't.. go on craigslist and try to find an ad for a trailer that doesn't advertise as being heavy duty. It's what sells and they are all a bunch of liars!

Modified trailer
Picked up my "new" used trailer today after modifications. Will install string trimmer holder on side of dump bed on Sat. This style is used a lot here in the Central Valley of California. Some are larger-some are small versions.

How does the 150 handle the trailer. I have a 06 looking to get a 8.5x16 but a little nervous how it'll handle.

Is that trailer parked in front of orange trees?
I am getting my trailer lettered up this next week. Will post pics when it is done. Not doing a full wrap but rather vinyl - wrap is too expense for me to justify.

Trailer load of mulch
Figured I would join in. Sorry it includes my help in the pic. Has about 6 yards of black bark mulch on it, kinda sucks I picked it up the morning of the hottest day of the year.
The trailer is 16x6.5 with the normal 3.5K axles and electric brakes. Dual drop gates and some equipment racks. |
