Cold Weather Seed Prep

I've been asked to do a job asap that involves prepping newly installed soil for seed, seeding, and erosion blanket installation.

Normally we would harrow the ground, broadcast spread the seed, then run over the area with a 12ft drag that we've made.

To harrow, we typically wire together 4 ft sections of the steel-type drag behind harrows that you can buy at TSC stores. If the soil is hard packed, we wire up cinder blocks to help penetrate.

The temperature has been hovering between -10*c and 5*c so I'm wondering how this will impact harrowing and dragging the soil. I'm assuming its going to end up chunky, but I'm not sure.

Any feedback is appreciated
