whats your daily overhead?

Hey guys just trying to gauge where i'm at compared to everyone else.

My daily Overhead to break even is 900 a day...

what are you guys at or about?

How many days a season?
How many man hours Per season?
We need to gross about 10k a week for 30 weeks to cover all expenses that we have to be able to make the level of profit that I expect.

Well im alittle smaller, but with one helper and one mower payment, ins, gas phones, some maintenanceand repair.

i budget 25 per hr. I aim to turn 80 per hr but budget 75. I budget 55 billable hrs per wk for 35 wks.

april through june hrs are waaaay more, july,aug sept still pretty heavy, oct nov are bit less.

I know there are many things on here I don't include like replacement equipment, or office stuff, depreciation. i catch all that at tax time and yr end.

I like it cause I tell my self after 55 hrs im makin a bit more cause ins phone and repairs are covered.

This is how I do it, I budget Dec through March a little differently for snow.

Am I wrong in assuming labor is not an overhead cost? Overhead costs should be all those cost that are not directly related to bringing in revenue....such as shop rent, liability/workmans comp insurance, cell phone, vehicle/equip maintenance, etc... Could be wrong but this is the way I've always understood it.

I may not be figuring this the right way because my numbers are way less than everyone elses. My overhead (insurance, repairs & maintenance, office supplies, and depreciation) comes out to about $12,000. I mow for about 160 days per year - 5 days per week (give or take depending upon the year) so my overhead cost per day would be $75 per day or $9 per hour. I would like to note that I am a solo operation with no debt.
