Help on a estimate

Hey guys I'm new here.

Someone asked me to mow 5 acres this summer. A contact from may to September. I have a exmark zero turn 42 inch. Just mowing nothing else.
How much do you usually charge for 1 acre?

Please feel free to include anything you think I should be aware of or know that would help.

I would charge 120-175 depending on the difficulty of terrain.

5 acre job

I agree witht the first guy I saw posted, $1 a minute. However, this is a much larger job so I would raise my prices. I say $1.15 a minute if over 2 and 1/2 - 3 acres. It's much more wear and tear on your mower and usually you have to do a lot of walking as far as weedeating and edging goes. I have an account that is 5-6 acres and I charged $0.85 a minute. I really way under charged. They were just as happy with $1.15 a minute when they saw my work and knew I could handle the job. Just keep that in mind. Hope that helps. If you want to keep doing such large jobs, you might consider purchasing a larger mower.

Depending on how the terrain is and if it there is just flat out mowing, it should take you about 3hrs with 1 42" and I would be around 175-200.00.

I was thinking it was being cut with a 60 ,a 42 will take a while and efficiency is not on your side so basically know your numbers so you can make money instead of thinking your making $
