Opinions-What do you think of this truck?

Dont want to be the stick in the mud but come on, we ve all beat the GVWR, CDL, overweight horse to death numerous times on multiple threads now.

Back to the topic if we can, I need to make some sort of deciion here. final thoughts? What to offer? Any more opinions, about the truck?!

Its a Straight 6 5.9 cummins same motor i have in my Freightliner fl70. they also make a 8.3 cummins which is what i wish mine was.....

dustycedar- I'm thinking of trying to get him down some more. Right now he's at $36k with the electric tarp and roller setup installed as well as a full hitch plate with pintle hook, electric plug, etc installed.

its ok, think of it this way your taking a pick-up motor and sticking it in a 52,000lb loaded truck....could use another 100hp

Oh your FL70 is up to 52k? That is a light engine for that truck wow. Wish I could find the 7.2 Cat or something similar. Having a hard time finding much else to be honest, especially for the money/condition.

its a 6 wheeler with a drop axle. 12,000 front 21,000 rear and 20,000 pusher. only problem is i can only registered it for 48,000 because the axle distance is too short but that doesnt stop me from overloading the **** out of her. Hell before i got this truck i would pull out of the gravel bank in my 03 1 ton duramax weighing in at a cool 21,000lbs ( gross is 12,000) imagine that ticket....

1999 freightliner fl70 230 hp cummmins 6 speed.
Paid $20,000, i have been looking at different trucks for a year and the guy i bought it from tried selling it to me last year when he wanted $25,000.
