Wow you work the trucks! Nice little truck though, I can see why you say the engine is light though, especially on that truck.

Neuswede, i've seen that truck on ebay for months now, not by owner but by a dealer. Wrong body for what we need and I ideally was looking for an auto. Still a nice truck though.

Dealer says $34,500 is his lowest offer for me at this point on the truck I originally started this thread about.

Not sure about if the motor will suite your needs for HP numbers but the 5.9 cummins motor is legendary for reliability..

That's what I've been hearing. Apparently the older ford f700 and f800s from the late 90's had the 195hp cummins in them. Friend of mine had one and said it wasnt so bad, nothing amazing but it did the job. I'd imagine the 230hp would be ok as well.

What kind of weight can you pull with that unit? I am looking for a tandem to pull my JD 333 and mulcher and and JD 050D mini excavator ...they weigh in at 24-25,000 together with attachents.

My friend has pulled my Kx-161 and my Tl140 with his single axle international. It is an older DT466. It did okay but here in ga we do not have a bunch of hills. The problem comes with actually having a trailer with enough capacity. I would imagine you would need a min 15ton trailer maybe more. He has a 12 ton trailer and was over weight.
The dot uses a weight per axle and the distance between axles to determine actual load capacity.

I would hope a truck like that could tow a KX161 since I tow mine with a 3/4 ton...
