Thanks, I might have to get a Honda homeowner mower because the nearest dealer that stocks the commercial (hrc216hxa) is very far away.

Does anyone know how the Honda hrx216 with Honda smart drive preforms?
As per my research it will need the tranny replaced at about 100 hours.
The tranny cost would be $50.00 each time

That would be a deal breaker. How fast are you going to rack up a 100 hours? I would expect way more from a commercial machine.

I would probably rack in 100 hrs in a month and a half.
It is very cheap to replace the tranny at only 50.00 bucks a piece each time.
The hrx216 is a homeowner machine.

I can't imagine a homeowner standing for having to replace the tranny every season. Which would be about 100 hours for a typical homeowner. I've used Toro and Lawnboy ho models over the years and not had major problems. I've gotten thousands of hours from those machines. No plastic in the trannys is likely the reason. Too many new machines have plastic where it shouldn't be.
