You got that right Blazer. My wife and I are taking a few days in Gatlinburg and the grass is growing like crazy.

We've been out a week now doing Spring Clean Ups. The soil temperature was right. We have forcythias blooming and that is about a month early! Thank God, we need the money from the no snow season!http://www.lawnsite.com/images/smili...e_flagge13.gif

Started Apps on the 9th and I am glad I did! Record temps in The midwest. I am really interested to hear predictions for the summer???
Started mowing on the 16th and had to mow a couple twice. Full mowing weeks this week and last. This is a really interesting weather pattern and a great opportunity to get new business from those who are not prepared or larger companies that cannot meet the small service window we had here. I have been spot spraying like crazy while the few lawns I do not spray are covered with chickweed! Z |

We've had a lot of rain, this is our second week mowing. Have had a few calls from jealous neighors (grass is green on the other side), so we have some sod jobs to quote. Lately people have just been too cheap, and want seed tossed even if it won't give them the results they want. Seems like I'm pushing customers away by telling them the truth instead of what they want to hear. Maybe they'll keep the card for when they figure it out. Sorry for venting, just want to get other takes on it...
