27 HP Kaw oil filter #
I have the 27 HP Scag Turf Tiger with the Kawasaki engine. When I bought the machine it came in with the (last four digits) 2071 OEM Kawasaki filter. When I changed the oil last year the dealer gave me a 2078 Kawasaki filter. He said this was the replacement. What are you guys running?

I would assume it would be the same as the other kawi filters. All my Kawi's up to the 23hp run the same filter. I have never looked at the part number. I just ask for a kawi oil filter and they bring it out. I'm assuming the 27 hp runs the same one.

BigKat is right
But if your gonna use a Fram (and I'll admit that I do
) Make sure its the ToughGuard type. Regular Orange FRAM's are a real POS when it comes to quality and their filtering ability. The TOUGH GUARD FRAMS have over twice the filtering media, better antidrainback valve, better gasket material, and white paint, which allows easy reading for when you use a permanent marker to write the hours down on it.!!I like them because they're also available at Wally World and they're not much more $$ than the regular FRAM's. Dealer always wanted $7 - $8 for a filter I'm not a cheapskate, but that is highway robbery!
