SEO/Website Feedback

My website (see signature) is just a 1&1 template. I currently have the most basic package which does not allow me access to the HTML. Any thoughts on how SEO sound it is?

Also, I have run a backlinks diagnosis a couple of times and none show up, even though I should have some from lawnsite, bizvotes, yelp, etc.

Any ideas?

What are you using to check backlinks?

It is a nice clean look, however it doesn't validate, mainly due to missing ALT tags on images. But on top of that, the declaration of what style HTML the page is, there are conflicts between two types defined. Out of your control most likely.

Assuming you have full control over descriptions, Keywords, Title and Page names, then you should have control over your SEO path.

One note, the page for Landscape Construction is named 6.html, I would change that to something more appropriate.

Only found one spelling issue, on the home page in the top heading, landscape contruction should be landscape construction

I used a program called SEO Spyglass which will checks various places. (it even lists some that used to link to you that no longer do)

How do you like 1&1's system, I see they are pushing it like crazy now.

I have been with them for 4 or 5 years now. It is very cheap and very easy to use. I do wish it had more design options. I have been looking at switching to squarespace.com- the templates are fantastic and much more flexible. But the switch will be time consuming so I will probably stick with 1&1 for now.

yeah 1 and 1 is the "walmart" of web hosting. It's cheap and gets the job done but sometimes you wish you didn't have to go there.

That said have you thought about creating a "blog" it's a lot of work but one thing google uses in it's algorithm is how often the content changes. A blog forces you to change the content a lot and lets you add lots of keywords around what people will be searching on, also it tells a story for potential customers.

Also make sure as others have said on this forum to create a google place page, a google plus account, and Facebook page. I know a lot of people don't "Facebook" but increasingly I've noticed these sites appearing in search results BEFORE the companies official site. Even if you don't like it, it's free and only takes a few min to set all that up.

All and all though I like the simplicity of your site.
