Wow, I am surprised that this Thread was revived. As far as updates, I had a great year in 2012 and looks to be even better for 2013. I have been actually turning down a lot of work and going crazy to get the work I have done. Currently have 21 employees, one more than last year, and am ahead by 100k on my gross, so far.

I would love to send more pics but, for some reason, I can't get them uploaded. Don't know why.

I really don't have a weekly on the numbers. Between lawn maintenance, lawn care, mulching, construction, and other services. It fluctuates greatly from week to week. What I can tell you is that I grossed over 1.4mil last year.

Awesome thread! Hope you have another great year, I have noticed myself a huge increase in clientele this year as opposed to last year. Seems like we are coming out of this recession

We are coming out of the recession, very slowly. Even slower in RI.

I don't know...... I have already made what I made last year this year! It's been absolutely insane! Maybe the guys that do just landscape construction haven't seen an increase but the maintenance side has!

I would guess that much of the new customers you have are not new people moving to the area but, people that have fired their old landscaper or customers from a landscaper or two, that closed shop. With an economy like this, the companies that run lean and have little debt, will be the ones to survive.

I totally agree, you need to run lean for the next couple years just to survive these times. Every new customer I have gotten this year I ask if they have a current landscaper. I do this to make sure I am not stepping on any toes of people I know. Out of the 15 accounts I have gotten this year, only 2 have switched to me from their old landscapers citing poor workmanship. The other accounts are just people that are too old or too busy to do it themselves.
