Attention Dixie Owners

Jegs has 1 gallon jugs of Lucas Oil 15w40 Magnum High TBN CI-4 oil for 14.99 plus 4.99 shipping. This is the factory recommended oil for the hydro system in most Dixies.

No. All of my engines call for 10w30 so I use plain old Pennzoil 10w30. I am aware that Dixie says that you can run it in engines but I prefer to use the 10w30 since I've never had a problem with it. I sent an engine oil sample to Blackstone labs last year and they told me that even with almost 150 hours on the oil, that it was in fine shape and I could run it up close to 200 hours before changing it.

I use Pennzoil 10W30 also. I've read that Dixie recommends the Lucas 15W40 for everything and wasn't sure who has switched. My dealer (who I'm trying not to use anymore) put on the repair ticket that they used 10W30 but I don't know what brand. I'm trying to do this type of stuff myself.

Ordered 4 gallons because I am going to change the hydro oil and filter soon. Not sure how much the reservoir holds and I should change it more often. Right now looking at 8 years and 230 hours. Didn't get $4.99 shipping exactly. It was $9.99 handling, $0 shipping and $2.50 Area Charge. That works out to $3.12 each.

Thanks for the info. That's a little less than at Summit Racing.
I use the Lucas Oil 15w40 in my Yanmar diesel engine and also in my 27hp Generac gasoline engine with no problems.
