Mowing estimate question
I have been in business for 6 years, most of my mowing accounts are around 1/2 acre. I received a call today for a quote I walked the property with the homeowner. The property is about 2.25 acres with very little trimming. I have not quoted this size property before. I have a toro G3 60" and I am solo. Any help on pricing would be appreciated!

About how long does it take to mow your average 1/2 acre property?

Not sure because before this year I only had a 48" exmark turf tracer so I am not sure how much the 60" toro will save me.

Probably 3-4 times what a 1/2 acre is.

Use the time figure for your 48" to figure the price, you didn't get a bigger mower to save your customers money, did you? I'm sure you bought it to increase your profit potential.

We usually figure around an acre per hour with a 72" deck depending on the property and obstacles. I would say figure 3-3.5 hours mowing at your hourly rate to SD add 20% for collection and 35% for collection and removal and then your normal trimming rate.
