trugreen commercial

I was watching a cable station not sure what channel and trugreen comes on shows a van called weed slayer with fire and other odd paint on the van. The customer comes out and the guy looks very unprofessional and says i don,t tell you how to do taxes don,t tell me how to treat the weeds. Then the next thing it shows is a dead lawn and the dandilion is still alive and trugreen then they say they have special programs. The idea is to make everyone else to look like they are incompent while they are professionals. This is an insult to the hard working men and woman that own small companies and are very professional. Just wondering if others have seen it?

They kill a fair amount of lawns. Truth is stronger than advertising in the long run.

Ive seen the commercial but dont take offense to it. I am very professional and make sure not to look like a fool out there. Thing is, I dont feel its professional on their part to show some mystery product that only kills grass and not dandys. Haha, thats a new one to me. Would prolly be helpful on dandy fields used for dandy wine or tea.

I love all those companies. It seems they know their problems too. Scott's is sending out mailers about how bad Trugreen did last year in the drought.

They have created the market, they remind people it needs to be done. They do well for a few years then the lawn craps out if they do not burn it sooner.

Feel free to point out how more professional you are. Experienced--more than average Tru Green employee? Licensed? Many Tru employees are supervised, but not licensed themselves. Do you notice many adds in the paper to hire new people at your local TG office? "Will train" or "No experience necessary". This is an indication of rapid turnover of employees and many inexperienced technicians.

Feel free to point out how you are better than the big companies in your flyers and sales brochures--give the customer a reason to buy from you more than the big companies.

I always wore a uniform--even though I was my only employee.

Tru Green don't even have a shop in my town anymore. People are on to their tactics here and are educating themselves. You see very few Tru Green flags in lawns here.

What an FFF'd up video. They can't get customers the old fashioned way with excellent service and good value so they have to take a cheap shot at everyone else and try to make them look like clowns on national TV. If the guy in the commercial would have had anything other than water coming out of his hose he'd have burned the lawn.
