My Gear

Hello Board!

I figured I'd post some pics of my current setup! I'm currently taking care of 41 properties all across Maui, HI. I have an employee, but I typically end up doing most of the work... It's just me and a friend of mine that I go to school with. I deal with mostly Southern type grasses, and Bent grasses. I own a traditional rotary mower, but it doesn't get as much use as my Tru-Cut C27-10.

My fleet consists of the following:

Shindaiwa T231B
Shindaiwa T261X
Shindaiwa T261B
Shindaiwa HT2510
Shindaiwa T272X (not pictured)
Shindaiwa SP300
Stihl BR550
Stihl BR380
Stihl MS192T
Stihl FS90R
Tru-Cut C27-10 Reel Mower
Honda Commercial mower (don't know model number off of the top of my head, sorry!)
BigTex 35SV Trailer
Ford F-150, 2001 model

With that said, here are the pics! Tell me what you think! I'll post work pics later, if there's any interest!

The trimmers!

I'll get pics of the truck and trailer tomorrow! Hope you enjoyed!

You cut 40 yards with a push mower? I'm sorry I don't know all the mowers but that is what I took from this. I'm interested to know, (if it is a push mower) after all yards are done with two guys, how long it takes you?

Looks like you have good quality stuff though.

Heck no! It's chain drive, so it is self propelled! I've got two of them. I also have a Honda commercial mower. I cut Southern type grasses primarily, and the yards are usually 2000 sq. ft. I've got 2 guys that work for me, but one full time. It typically takes me with the Tru-Cut and my other guy with one of the Shindaiwa's 15 minutes max. I've also got a Gravely 44Z, which gets some use. That's for those monster El Toro lawns. We're out there 6 days a week working. We're not just a mow and blow company, we do total landscape maintenance.

Thanks for the nice comment! I try to get the best, less downtime.

-Tyler

Why do the heads on the trimmers look so weird?

That's an opinion, I don't know how to answer that. They're made by Shindaiwa, and are made to cut low. I cut grass that usually needs to be cut shorter. Hope that helps.

Lol, yes it is! Good eye! I re sodded it last year. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out! For some reason, it turned out a little greyer in the pics than it is in real life.

This is primarily what I'm cutting. This is my lawn, it's pure Bent grass! I cut it pretty low with the Tru-Cut. I personally like the view more than the turf

The brown spots are from where the grass had died after the sod was laid down. This was taken some time ago, so it looks different. I landscaped this myself, so tell me what you think!
