Worst Stripes.

Ok guys lets see em! Everyone either brags on their own stripes or tells stories about hacks, so lets see some of these hack stripes. I'm talking pics of "professional" lawn companies and the terrible mowing they do.

I got one. So little story behind this one. I just started mowing a new customers house, the neighbor saw me and my wonderful exmark stripes. Who knows what he was thinking. I came back the next week, and this is what I see:

Someone was trying to get stripes with a little John Deere riding mower.

I know its no one "professional" but it just cracks me up every time I look at it. If I get a few more pics I'll show you.

Hack or homeowner?

Who mowed it? The homeowner? His Cousin, Jim? One of the famous Hacks? Looks okay to me. The place is well groomed.

Ill have to take some pics when it stops raining, these guys mow 5 yards right by some of mine and they haven't changed the direction they mow since day 1. The ruts are so deep you can trip over them. when i was mulching one of them ( they don't do mulch) the wheelbarrow had a rough ride crossing the stripes
They must be doing something right though because their truck has number 7 on it...

Ummmm...... Well, the homeowner did it with his POS mower. Now that we are further into the season the ruts are crazy... he hasn't changed directions since he started "Striping". Not well groomed at all...this is well groomed:

This was last mow before changing patterns.

Another.

But hey, props to him trying I guess

The only thing in my opinion that makes a bad stripe is line control (straightness) and single wheeled velkies.

Thats what im talkin about...squiggly lines, stringers, dull blades, clumps from mulching, any and all of these. I got a few around me that are pretty horrendous. 2 of them are Brickman properties, just waiting for them to cut again to get a pic
