What you do not see is the 8" base depth. The additional work to correct the house behind the vycor, and the actual old landing. Job cost, materials and associated fees was 4194, there was 82 man hrs into it. Thanks for the Kudos though.

The purpose of my mention of cost wasn't to put shovel on the spot

I pulled the number out of thin air, with partially coming up with the number from jobs we have done.

What I was implying is that these little walks and stoops cost more (per sf) than a patio.

Last spring I shared a job cost sheet that some wacko homeowner e-mailed me telling me how my price was way too high! For a job similar to Shovel's job here.

I know we have forum members that would probably have priced this job at $6k. Fact is, there is no way the work could be done for that unless you work by yourself and dont have to pay rent or a mortgage.

My Equipment Brag List:

-1 CAT hat
-16 pairs of Hanes socks (the Heavy Duty model), many with holes.
-12 pairs of underwear, ranging from Joe Boxers to Jockey, many are in need of replacement. (no more photo requests please)
-hundreds of t-shirts. Some w/ grease stains, some torn & tattered.
-7 pairs of jeans, ranging from Levis to Polo to GAP. 1/2 of them have holes in 'em.
-1 belt
-1 pair of old worn out Nike shoes.

7700 was not my price. Dvs knows my true price, but the rest of you can not. We did well though.
