Fire the zone and check the amps. They are fresh solenoids? Do they have the white wires? .25 amps is the magic number.

Do, volts don't really mean that much; you either got 26+ volts or not.

You get comfortable with amps, first, then you will be allowed to enter Jim's domain.

you all def increased my trouble shooting skills many times over..
The guy @ the wharehouse tells me very few people ask for the tools and tech questions that I put out..

I've had some good teachers and would love to teach the right guy if he can show me he cares..

My main man moved on. You don't find many good ones. If a couple of badger employees had not almost run me out of business, I might still be in the game. You all know the scenario; drugs, drink, women, meth being the worst.

I have a 521. I like it. It does the job most the time but at other times it seems to fail. Or I just am not that good with it. Would love to hear more about other systems.

Don't worry about it, they are great instruments. The trick, and it's not always possible, is to use it frequently so as to avoid the "null/no null" confusion. A better pair of headphones might help, and keeping an (eye) out on the meter might be helpful. Believe me, I've been there.
