Grasshopper brakes
My grasshopper brake drums have worn out and I need replacement hubs and can't find them? I must be calling them the wrong thing, but they appear to be soft aluminum hubs that have brake bands around them and have completely worn them out. Any suggestions? It's an XW2200 model.

Well first, Grasshopper never made a model XW2200. So, you have some other brand of machine. That sounds like a Dixie Chopper model.
Second, Grasshopper does not use brake drums. Their machines have disk brakes, with a disk and a caliper assembly.

Duhhhhhh!
It's a Dixie Chopper and I did a Brown out!!! I need a brake drum for the Chopper! They are aluminum and pretty dumb design. I also need new linings for the strap style outer brake straps. Where is the best place to get them. Dealer prices are ridiculous at about $90 ea. Any ideas?
