a number of years ago i had a handy women underbid me for a job and she did a concrete walkway for $400. I priced at $850 and I was just starting out. I said let her do it (I was pissed because the lady wanted the extra bags of materials from a previous job because she was convinced se paid for them. The lady did the sidewalk using her hand and a plastic glove to smooth out the concrete. Funniest thing ever. I charged $200 more to break it out and the lady accepted. She was humbly begging me to come back.
