Passed my irrigation and backflow exam

Just wanted to share with everyone that I just passed the irrigation and backflow phases of my landscape contracting professionals exam. Took it here in Oregon.

So excited to be able to change a sprinkler this year without looking over my shoulder. Been celebrating for a day and a half now cheers guys.

Lol, true enough. I actually do try and play by the rules as best I can, but I wont lie, if its a choice between waiting 2 weeks for an irrigation sub to come fix a pipe while the site dries into a husk, and breaking the rules to keep it green, I have to make a judgement call.

I am happy to say I have paid my dues, and its good to be right with the law. No more subs who couldn't care less about my accounts for this guy. And for the record, the exam was NOT easy. I thought I was going to fail the irrigation portion, ended up with an 83%.

I know I'm tooting my horn here, just wanted to share the "W" with my lawnsite family.

For people thinking about taking an irrigation exam, I studied for just over 6 weeks. It isn't easy, but its doable. Go for it!

Hahahaha, everyone thinks Oregon is 100% lush green foliage, like Portland. Truth is, the state is 2/3 desert. East of the cascade mountains, its a rainshadow, very little moisture. Irrigation is critical.

I'm actually familiar with that fact but thought I'd poke the bear none the less. Its kind of like everyone expecting Texans to be riding horses to work and tumbleweeds being a normal thing.
