Your cheapest "quality" bet would be a Hobart,you can get one at TSC,there is a lot of no name crap out there,be carefull but Hobart makes a good machine especially for light fab work and repairs.

What about this one?

I didn't know that Miller made Hobart welders.Looks like tsc is the cheapest out of the sources i've checked.Sorry to be so stupid but I don't want to buy one that is too big but then again too small.

If thats the price range your lookin at that will make you a good machine,175 amps is a lot of juice from a small machine like that,i have a Lincoln 175 that i run everyday and it to has a lot of snot,you should make out good with that machine,prices jump considerably after 175 amps so thats good power at a decent price,i would go for it.BTW,my Lincoln 175+sp was $780 on sale.
