Long as you keep up that kind of work, charge a fair price (don't low ball just because you are young) and get some liability insurance sooner or later you should be in this for the long haul.

In the 90s when I got my start I was the definition of weekend hack. $500 worth of wal mart equipment working out of a car trunk for 2 weeks. I had bought a pickup but it was delayed in the delivery and I had customers needing mowed from my newspaper listing. But I tried my best to provide the best work I could and soon moved beyond the hack equipment look.

Today I play with the biggest dogs in town.

Hey thanks alot. I do have a pretty impressive setup for 14 years OLD. all is commercial grade and in new or almost new condition. I bought the walkbehind with sulky with 80 hours on it two months ago.

The rest looks fine...I don't know if I'd wear white, but if Mom doesn't mind, lol (I'm assuming she does the laundry).

A golf/polo or other collared shirt goes a long way in providing a professional look in my opinion. I don't have mine lettered but I bought a whole bunch of matching ones on the bargain rack at the J. Crew outlet store for $5 each. I wear jeans for landscaping work when it's not too hot and Dockers/Dickies for mowing until it's too hot to do so..then it's Dockers cargo shorts.

haha. its funny cause my mom had a cow (not really) after a mulch job and the white shirts being super dirty. i will probslly go with the groundsguys uniform. my logo is green and yellow, so a yellow hat with my logo and a yellow or yellow and green polo with logo plus reflective vest with logo ontop. once again thanks for the nice comments
