The h.o. really should get out there with a hose... the midwest is dry now and shall continue dry, plus hot now, with little chance of relief... I'm glad I planted as early as I did for the Springtime seeding...

My dormant seeding came in a lot better than that hydroseeding did... they are going to lose the lawn if they don't water soon...

Keep the updates coming! I'm curious to see the results. If it was seeded with just a Perennial Ryegrass, it should have all come up a bit quicker. This leads me to believe that there might be some fescue or blue in the mix as they take longer to come up. If that were my lawn, I'd pound it with Anderson's 12-24-12 Starter Fertilizer with Siduron at the heaviest rate on the label. Then, I'd watch it fill in like gangbusters!

New seed at 24 days
Here is the result; 91 degrees and no rain, likely slowed by lack of water. Perhaps any tiny newly emerged seed would be killed by todays conditions

It will be fun to show the pictures to the h.o., when he complains to the lawnguy, that the grass didn't grow, and the lawnguy OWES the ho a FREE do-over... Perhaps you could sell them to the LCO...
![]() Amazing how people can come home and look at the lawn turn to desert, day after day, and not take a moment to set out a sprinkler or something...

New seed Day 26
This new grass is doing a bit better today. Lucky break...again. Grass had 6 tenths of an inch of rain 2 days ago. Temp is 74 today. Not really owner occupied. I see no sign of a hose. I think color is fairly good...perhaps was fertilized at time of seeding...perhaps a dark green type of seed.
