... Goldpro I used your method today, cut reg height, then raise it up worked really nicely first pic right after it rained yesterday second my personal yard after i cut it today. That mower i posted ^^^ Was sold 45 mins before I was going to leave to pic it up, oh well there are others around

I got started on a flower bed area for the same customer that i did the fireplace for. All my job to do is just remove the sod and turn over the soil, nice and easy but the darned rain decided to ruin my party today, INSANE thunderstorm randomly appeared

So today I was sharpening my blades and scraping my deck because I didnt get a chance over the weekend and decided it was time for new blades, so i went with Oregon Gator Mulching blades 98-671 from jack's small engine's. I figured that I would support one of the sponsors

I was wondering how big of a difference do gator blades make, all that I have heard is great reviews of them. What do you think?

Did you get the G6 Gators? I haven't had a chance to try them yet but I've heard good things about them. I've used the regular Gators for mowing grass and they kind of suck in my opinion...clumps. They're considered a mulching blade but in my experience they're more of a mushing blade...they turn the cut grass to mush if it's lush/damp. They are good for leaf season though.

Honestly I have no idea if they are G6 I tried to look they were listed as 3 in 1 blades from Oregon and Jack's Small Engine didnt give any details on it, the Oregon model # 98-671

Those appear to be the regular Gators. You may have clumping issues with them in lush spring growth. They don't discharge as strongly as high lifts and therefore aren't great for bagging either. But they're what I put on as soon as the leaves start to fall and for the first couple of cuts in the spring, before the grass really starts growing like crazy.
