Trimstar 48" Rear Discharge

Hi,

I would like to start by saying that I have always loved Hustler machines, having a Hydro walk behind for over 7 years.

But, this year We decided to get a new Trimstar model, 17hp with a 48” rear discharge deck.

Unfortunately, for Me and everybody else that has used this machine, have been disappointed with it.

All that it seems to do is hold the cut grass in the deck and not discharge it! When you turn the blades off you get left with a big heap of mulched and squashed together grass mound.

Also when the grass starts to build up under the deck the vibrations become very unpleasant.

We have had our dealer look at it and under the guidance of Southern Machinery Ltd. Made a few adjustments to the deck, but this has made no difference.

I know that here in the UK We are having a bit of a wet spell at the moment, but even on dry days We still get the same problem, none of our other machines, and even the old “trusty” Hydro walk behind never give use this much of a problem.

If any body from Hustler could give Me some advise on how to overcome this problem i`m sure the mower would be an excellent replacement/addition to our other machines.

Any help!!
Thanks
Chris

Due to the conditions, wet cutting and rear discharge, your going to experience some of this.
I could only suggest trying some different lift blades.
