Husqvarna Z4822
Hello, this is my first post on lawnsite.com and I have been reading the forum for about a week and I can tell this is a great forum. I have a Husqvarna Z4822 with a 48" deck and the 22 hp briggs and stratton engine, it is a residental series with 210 hours on it. I bought it last fall. I am 14 and starting to mow commercial so I am going to upgrade to a good walk-behind soon. Here is my two questions. How much do you think the Husqvarna is worth? and since a walk behind is only 15-17 hp and zero is 22-24 hp are you still able to mow tall/thick grass as easy as a Z? thanks for your answers.

Go get 'em Bud.
You will be much happier with a commercial walkbehind. Just about any commercial walk will out perform that Z. Don't worry too much about the engine hp rating, that's already been proven to be a bunch of BS anyway. What's the Husqvarna worth? I'll throw out a guess of $750 - $1K. Good Luck. Q |

Don't sell or trade the Z unless you have to. It's worth more to you than anyone else. If you trade it you'll probably take a beating, and you never know when you might need a spare. Business could improve to where you would have to hire your dad or a friend. (lol)

Good news. Just sold the husqvarna Z4822 for $1800. Bought it last fall for$1200. I got 40 hours if use and made$600 bucks. Talk about a good investment! Joe crumpler: I do have a back up rider so im in good shape. Im going to get a exmark wb. I was getting tired of dumping the husqvarn in the ditch.
