why work till dark if you don't have to?
for me the sooner I get started, the sooner I get done. personally I schedule a certain amount of work for each day and usually once that work is done, I'm finished for the day. whether that'd be 2pm, noon or 5pm. never have worked past 6pm. |

For me the sooner I get started the longer it takes...rather wait for the morning dew to dry and work later...but then you can get the evening dew, lol.

morning dew isn't that bad in my neck of the woods. most time the grass can still be cut in one pass and side discharged.

Yea that dew here is awful it is as if it just rained some days. Now I understand if you have some commercial accounts that need to be done early then you need to get up early. But mine all seem to work better late which is fine by me.

Some days early, some days later...depends on the schedule and the weather. Once summer hits and they forecast afternoon thunderstorms I'll start earlier because I never hear the storm coming until I'm wet, and that's no fun. I'll just get it all done before then.

7 am. most of my customers are already awake getting ready for work or already gone. If they ask me to start later, I'll re-route my schedule and get to that particular lawn later in the morning.

Usually get up and out to the garage/shop around 5-530. Gives me some time to make sure everything is ready to go for the day wake up and make some coffee. Usually pulling out around 630 and start cutting around 7. But i also have a night job that starts at 2 so i have to start early or i wouldn't. Days i don't have anything going on usually get up around 10 or so make sure all the equipment is in good shape for the next day and head to work. Gotta sleep when i can working two full time jobs doesn't leave a lot of room for that.

in the summer, when it gets daylight, im somewhere mowing. Have a lot of vacant properties I do, so I tend to jumpstart the day with those. If I dont have any vacants that day, and its my residential clients, I start mowing at 8am sharp, to not piss them off.

The guys are at my house by 6am loading and prepping everything, normally getting to the first job by 7am. We'll work until about 6:30pm.
