I don't apply any pre-emergents in landscape beds etc 1 cemetary garden that is run by 10 retired ladies. I haven't seen the benefit from them. Even in lawns pre-emergents are rarely needed as they almost always breakdown along hot spot driveway edges so Drive is still necessary.

So hit the edges twice...that's what I do.

It's less profitable when I have to combat crabgrass with 1-3 applications with the added risk of burning lawns. I have healthy lawns, but cg is still in them.
