that's what i've heard...wright to make john deere standers in the wright factory with their technology...so basically a wright stander in green paint...probably will have the 7 iron deck...

it looks like wright finally has to make a few decisions, they have been top of the mountain for 15 years but now everyone is catching up...i'm sure JD threw so much money at them and they know their patents are inevitably going to run out so they had to make a move...

i think it's a great move...i'm excited for it...our JD dealer is awesome in town and would love to deal with only them, they already sell stihl handhelds which are what we use...

wasn't sure how much info is out yet or if it's even a done deal...didn't know if they two companies are trying to keep it quiet for 'wright' now or what...

Here's a link to another thread that discussed this. My dealer said when they had thier meeting in Omaha last week they showed a picture of a black shadow. A wright dealer had a complaint about this joint venture between Wright and John Deere on wrights Facebook page. Dealer was not too happy.

I wouldn't expect anything more than a Wright painted JD green. Right now JD's stander and walk behinds are Gravely's painted green instead of red...

Think it will just be the original stander models or do you think they will offer a stander X and ZK?

If they used the ZK platform they could possibly squeeze the 7 Iron deck under there. Hopefully people will know more soon.

From what I have heard its going to be the large frame fixed deck stander and the stander X. No idea on decks or anything else. We are a Wright dealer. Not sure whether to be angry or not about this. If they get the exact same machine and sell it cheaper somehow I wont be too happy. On the other hand green paint is usually expensive so even if the machines are priced low, the parts will probably be sky high.

Just have to wait and see what happens next year.
