Looking at the posts, you guys need smaller trucks, that is trucks with smaller engines.
Let's see you put 2,000 pounds of rock in any of those.

How are y'all liking your chevy 6.0? I am considering getting one but seeing how poor the mileage is I may reconsider.
2002 Toyota Tundra
4.7 L
9-10 MPG loaded, 16-18 empty highway

toyota hilux has a payload up to about 3000 pounds.

there was once a real truck. one you could crash, leave in the ocean for a day, drop a caravan on, drop off a building, and still drive it away. it's the toyota hilux. toyota thought america would like this truck, so they introduced it in 1991 for america to enjoy. America decided it was too much truck, so toyota came out with the toyota tacoma.

The Hilux Workmate has a towing capacity of 4960 pounds. I couldn't pull my trailer with it. Gas or diesel. That is incredible weak for a work truck.

It has a curb weight of 3295 pounds without a bed. Even so, the maximum total gross weight is 6128 pounds. That's less than 3,000 pounds and doesn't include the weight reduction for a bed or gear and passengers.

Maybe you can find some different specs from the ones I found.
