website to call out no pays

If anyone wants to become a millionaire you should create a website/facebook page where business owners can anoymously submit a no payers info to be published for everyone to see.

It could work for any business. Just a simple embarrassing line... John Doe owes $xxx for no pay. You could even put optional service categories.

Just one of my long days solo and thinking!

It would only be embarrassing if the person who owed money, and their family/friends saw the post. This would be a good way to get people to pay though....

I see defamation law suits from this idea. No way to keep track of who owes and who has paid or is in the process of paying. No way to underwrite this project from an insurance standpoint as well.

But people can post rubbish about contractors all over the BBB, Angies or Yelp with little recourse for the contractor. If it can be substantiated I wouldn't fear litigation. For serious money we are already heading to court.

I believe the little or no recourse you refer to are settled out of court, the suits and counter suits would run the owners of the web-site idea out of business very fast, again no insurer would be willing to risk the losses.

The proliferation of "review and opinion" type websites don't support that argument.

Perhaps that is why it has never been tried yet, of course your welcome to do so, if your pockets are deep enough to take the law suits sure to follow.
