Are we talking about the fs90 or the fs80? What does any of your links have to do with an fs80?????

I dont care what the "R"stands for in the newer models. because were not talking about them were talking about the fs80. you are both wrong.

For the FS family, the "R" designates loop handle. Even going back to the original FS 80 (4112 family circa 1970) the "R'' designated loop handle.

Sorry to break it to you all, but your still wrong, I have 5 fs80's, 2 of which are reg old fs80's the other 3 are fs80-r's

ALL of my trimmers have loop handles and i bought all of them brand new from the stihl dealer. When i bought them it was an option to add the bicycle handles.

Stihl fs80-r with loop handle.


Reg old fs80 NOT the "R" also with loop handle.

All my Stihls have loop handles and they are "R" too...I don't know who is right, don't care...but I do know I aint using no bike handle.
