Machine Hours ?

Looking to buy a used lower-end zero turn to mow less than an acre commercial property. What do you all recommend as a reasonable amount of hours on a used machine? How many hours are too much? My current Simplicity zero turn had the Kohler Courage crap out after only 180 hours.

What other things should I look for when buying used?

I guess the answer would have to be no more than 180 hours for a Simplicity with Kohler Courage engine.

Seriously, though, there are just too many variables to answer this. If you were talking a used fully commercial rig then even 1000 hours would be reasonable depending on price. I don't think I would touch a used low end residential at all for the reason you have already experienced unless maybe I knew the history of it.
