What others said: use a bush-hog

You could use a flail mower, takes a little more tractor, but the debris is smaller and sent more to the ground vs the sides with the rotary mowers.

In the mean time - you didn't state so maybe you already do -- RAISE YOUR DECK. You would avoid much of the obstacles, thus saving wear on your blades, deck, tires, etc... Along with that I would suggest mowing high, like your highest setting or next one down. Not mowing primo lawns here, so no need to mow short. Unless they pay you to mow again at a shorter height.

Man I almost cried when I heard you are running 2 Turf Tigers in that. I know it gets the job done but wow that is a butt kicking. Especially when you told us some of the junk you have hit or wrapped. Like the others have said I am hoping the money is real good for these. It would be interesting to see how long it takes to junk out one of those mowers in those tough conditions.
You are right in envying those who just cut grass!

It amazes me the stuff people dump on properties. Mainly in neighborhoods when there are houses across from our empty lots, we find a lot of Colt 45 bottles along with the other trash if that says anything about the people that do most of the dumping. I change blades out about every other day on my 2 Turf Tigers. These mowers were both bought new in April, but they take a beating. They have about 300 hours on each and look worse than that. I do try my best to grease daily and pay attention to all other necessary maintenance. Here's a little before and after of the crap we mow.

How would someone get into servicing these types of properties?

All the maintenance in the world won't save your mowers from a early demise if you keep cutting stuff like this with them. Expensive parts will start failing soon

I am not a commercial mower...in fact I just got my first ZT...but over the last decade I have been using a bush hog. Even 7 gauge decked bushhogs with swing out blades will dent from stumps flying apart under the deck. I would hate to see what that would do to a finish mower where the blades don't swing out.

Get a bush hog before you start breaking the expensive parts.

I agree. I wouldn't touch that with a finish mower.

I was going to say that it looked like GA or some of the counties around here...

I've bid on some bush hogging for properties just like that...but I use roundup on what's left behind.
