You can use any oil that is fresh and contaminant free that is available to you. In a pinch you can mix oils of different weights, this will just change the weight ratios depending on what the added specs were and the amount you added, you can even add fossil oil to synthetic with no problems.

Following the manual is best but what they call for isn't always available.

Use what moto guy gave you this time the get some mobil1/whatever you want 5-20 and use it from then on out.
