2 landscape/skidsteer projects I'm quoting

Project 1:
Homeowner used neighbors backhoe to remove shrubs at property corner and would like the dirt to be regraded, no dirt removed area is about 60 x 40, will take me about 1 hour drive time and 1 hour to complete - quoted $400 and he thought it was high

Project 2:
Regrade and top dress with 1 tri axle driveway stone, total sqft is 2,900 - quoted $300 to regrade plus whatever the load of stone is (plus $100)

Does anyone know what this stone is called its 2B red and blue mixed and not by accident, she wanted to go to all 2Bred but I explained the complications with the existing stone coming through

Would you pay $400 for 2 hours worth of skidsteer work? Or 1 hour of work and 1 hour of drive time?

What is your minimum charge for your skidsteer? Because both projects are fairly similar time wise yet one is $100 cheaper for the machine portion. I think $400 is a little steep, $300 seems reasonable for machine work on BOTH jobs.

I ended up selling the stone job for $300 plus the cost of stones and $350 for the dirt leveling job.

Working on a tougher one with rockhound, mini ex and regrading for about $950

in south jersey, we'd call that 3/4" red/grey traprock.

i would have said your price seems quite high on the leveling job and about right on the grading.

Here is a pic of the finished lawn job. He was not looking for seed ready soil, just wanted it leveled and top soil spread, he is doing the final raking.

He also set me up with his uncle for another yard grading job
