Steel column fountain
Hey Guys,
Here is a steel fountain I built a few months back. Thought you might like to see something a little different than the water out of the stone we have all done for years (and Years). Fun little project. I do a lot with GFRC, steel and other types of materials. BTW, I posted a couple I did over on the lighting thread under "post your weekly photos", last page. Enjoy! |

Nice. What type of steel is used? I am thinking about the inevitable rust and/or corrosion.

It's regular cold rolled steel. I rusted it and put a clear coat sealant on the rest. It should last for many years. It's solid, not real worried about longevity. If I get 20 years it will be good. I'm sure they will be ready for a new look by then.
