sealing concrete
Does anyone seal concrete drives and walks or patios. I heard it should be done every few years and was wondering if anyone offered that service?

I've often wondered the same thing. Around here almost every drive is concrete. The only asphalt drives are the longer ones out of town a bit.

Ya around me it pretty even split between concrete and asphalt with an occasional gravel drive. I searched on google about sealing concrete and found it should be done just as often as asphalt is especially in areas with snow fall. And around me no one does it on their own drive let alone commercially. And seems like their is pretty much zero competition and no special equipment needed.

Would you say to pressure wash then seal next day or do you think you and could dry it with a walk behind leaf blower?

I seal lots of concrete with SealRx (www.sealrx.com) They offer the ability to get into the business at no cost and offer support. I've been with them for 7 years now, and it's been a great way to add to profits.
It doesn't take a lot of equipment, and is great to add to your existing business. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Good luck |

i've recently ventured into this service as a few clients have asked to have this done and if they purchased the material if i would apply it...the first client simply wanted the driveway pressure washed and then thompson water seal applied they were satisfied and with them purchasing the material approx 13 gal to do driveway an hour to pressure wash and 2 hours to apply sealer i only charged 150$ which seemed reasonable...next client purchased diamond brite and i applied this for them world of difference in the products and cost thompson was 42$ for 5 gal pail the other was 157$ for 5 gal put the end result was well worth it. only draw back is the temperature to apply the material gets sticky and stringy if apply when temperature is above 80 deg. You can apply with roller as you would be painting a wall or use a pressurized sprayer...with the roller you leave marks where the roller over laps but this soon fades...with the sprayer you need to do two coats and must maintain a specific pressure in the pump to apply the correct coverage...this is a learning experience for me but the customers have been happy
