Letting the lawns grow, skipping lawns, and being that guy

Hey everybody, brand new to the site. Just wanted to know if everybody thought like me, or are they just money hungry industry scum. When a lawn has not grown, why do companies insist on cutting? I don't know about you guys, but I cut around 135 lawns a week with another guy. 25+ a day, I do extremely well. And if I take a time off/ or skip to ensure all the lawns would need to be cut I do it. We have had no rain in Southeast Michigan, and to me it seems the bigger a company gets with BOSS MAN sitting in a office, the more this happens. My customers are loyal and have been for years, why do people go with companies that DON'T CARE? I remember working for a company that would make us cut every lawn in 95 degree weather with no growth... I also remember feeling like a ****** bag. Please excuse my use of context, Ive been doing this for a long time and this really grinds my gears. Why would you wanna be that guy?

I cut it if it needs it or not. They paid me to cut it every 7 days so I am going to do what we agreed on and what they paid me for. I would not cut it and give them their money back or agree to do something else for them to offset the cost of not cutting.

Most of my lawns are pay by the month at a yearly rate. I do have some that call when they think it's ready to cut.

I can see your point, but that sounds like one of the hacks of the lawn industry.

I offer a 7, 10 and 14 day cycle, the customer pick's how often and that's what I do. I could care less if it needed it or not. I'm cutting it like the customer wanted.
