Congrats on your new purchase. I just bought a 2005 lazer z, same engine and everything. I wish it would stop raining so I can get out and cut some grass with it... Looks like your doing well with this business.

Havnt got out to cut yet in michigan, most likely early to mid next week or if it stays cold more into the following, yeah im hoping it works out well, ive been running for other guys and most have run lazers so its a pretty familiar setup, i almost bought a 2005 but it had been run low on oil so i passed and my yukon decided it was going to fry the fuel pump so looks like ill be buying a ford next and using my dads truck since ill be doing all the mowing it seems this year until i put away enough, still got to put some more yard signs out and advertise, man i love the spring stress

Yessir, they had not changed the ultracut until 2006 when the triton came out but even then you could buy the 'advantage series' with the smaller wheels and the retro look but it had a ultracut and then in 09 with the nextgen's they came back and now theres a bunch of different 'series' of it(if im not mistaken different depthes of the decks) and i believe some of the new ones have the triton spindles. I dont know the exact number of years the ultracut was made but i know when i saw it haha.

Keep up the work. I graduated from highschool last year and merged my company with an older family friend of ours. Currently together we maintain roughly 500 or so properties. Only 17 of them are mine but you gotta start somewhere. Also agree with buying outright rather than financing. Cash is king!!!

i graduated last year as well, have been running for others for too long myself(bought since i was 12 since my dad had a company) and then by hs i skipped to mow lol, grew up and i guess got sick of the being at most a mowing foremen, especially for some of the smaller guys who wernt going nowhere which means i would never go any higher, at the moment im working partime for a decent sized contractor in my area that does everything from lawn care to outdoor kitchens, hes really taught be alot about everything, last year was the first year i did more then just mowing, he got me doing lawn installs(sod/hydroseeding) pavers, retaining walls, sea walls, grading, landscaping maintenance crew(being efficient with what seemed endless jobs) some irrigation, just in general gave me experience where i had not had it yet, even though i still love mowing maybe down the road id ad more services, and yeah man theres alot of good used machines and after you run them long enough you know what to look for when they break down, i go to the dealers in the spring and see whats being traded in, alot of mowers under 1K hours just people always need new ****.
