Sod Application Pricing
I have a customer that wants to have some SOD installed in an area of her yard along a fence. Although I can do the job I don't have an idea of how much to change. I will need at least a pallet of grass. Any ideas?

Not exactly sure. This is not my area of expertise so I would have to get the exact measurements. But if I had to guess I woould say the area is about 25ft long and 3ft wide.

Pallet = 450 SF. Need to get prices on partial pallets first. Then consider how much prep you need, time to get the grass, lay the grass and desired proifts. |

Laying SOD is not my area. I am more a mow blow and go guy with the occasional landscape job. This will be my first SOD job so I will get prices on all materials and take it from there. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the info.

why do you keep yelling SOD?
my pallets are 600 sf but they sell it by the piece (2x5=10sf roll) price does not change on quantity here. for an FYI/planning, I know me and my guys could rototill, rake, lay and go that area in about 2 hrs maximum, and thats with sweeping up, talking to the customer, and getting paid

I typically try use an estimate of 1.25 to 1.5 MH per pallet depending on access, how many pallets and such. That is humping it can it can not last all day. You can spray the grass, line trim it down, rake it and then till it. You may need to add amendments depending on the reason you need to restore this area. |
