I have a few residential contracts, but trying to get the start up with an apartment complex. Want to do everything right. Do I need a license, and how quickly can I get that pesticide license, and insurance?

try calling your city or town hall first, then your state for whatever else left unanswered

You need an Applicator license to apply any pesticides or herbicides.

Give a call to find out the exam scheduling and process to get your license. Certification & Licensing Staff (919) 733-3556.

I'm trying to get my applicator license in NC as well and just realized I missed the class and exam in Raleigh this week.

Here is a schedule of exam and class locations for this year. Hopefully there is one near you:
