Make Your Own Quoting Spreadsheet

This will be a simple two column Spreadsheet that can be added to your iPhone or Lap Top to make quoting easier. In column "A" we will create titles and in column "B" we'll use for our formulas.

Row:Column A | Column B
1:Lot Width | 55
2:Lot Depth | 130
3:Lot Size | =B1*B2
4:
5:Mower Deck Size in inches | 54
6:Max Mowing Speed in MPH | 8
7:Max Feet Mowed Per Minute | =88.02*(B5/12)*B6
8:
9: Difficulty 1=Easy 10=Extreme | 5
10:Mow Time |=(B3/B7)/((11-B9)/10)/.08
11:
12:Trim Distance in Feet | 310
13:Trim Time | =B12/44.01
14:
15:Edge Distance in Feet | 210
16:Edge Time | B15/44.01
17:
18:Blower Time in Minutes | 5
19:Travel Time to Job in Minutes | 10
20:Additional Cleanup Time | 0
21:Total Time | =B10+B13+B16+B18+B19+B20
22:
23:Mower Gas Per Hour in Gallons | 1
24:Trimmer Gas Per Hour | .125
25:Edger Gas Per Hour | .25
26:Total Gas Used | =(B23/60*B10)+(B24/60*B13)+(B25/60*B16)
27:Current Gas Price | 3.80
28:Cost of | =B26*B27
29:
30:Cost of Additional Materials | 0
31:Hourly Rate | 60
32:
33:YOUR ESTIMATE IS | =(B31/60*B21)+B28+B30

To test to see if your formulas were type correctly,
B3=7150
B7=3169
B10=5.6
B13=7.0
B16=4.8
B21=32.5
B26=0.13
B28=0.49
B33=32.95 or 33

Please Note the "Mow Time" was formulated at 80% efficiency

DIFFICULTY 1=Open Field no obstructions, 10=Steep Slopes/Hills or Ditches, Fenced in yard, with swing set, Dog house, Shed, Over Grow with weeds, high grass, etc.

interesting. You got this as an attachment? I can usually take a look and give a price. Might be interesting to actually measure some of my lawns and see how close I am to your numbers.

I think you need to change the lot info. You don't mow the entire lot. You need to take out the house, drive, beds, etc. Maybe you just need an entry for lawn square footage.

I have a fancier version the takes into account house, because when quote I also quote PowerWashing so the house, deck, fence, driveway, sidewalks, sheds so mine in fancier, but this one is a quick and easy. If some just wanted to add the turf square footage they could enter it over the formula and the rest of it would work just fine.

The only issue I see is mowing time calculation. which then sues a few numbers down the line. I would typically use =(B6*B5/124)*43560/60 which is what exmark uses on their website.

Sorry I should also include a big thanks. I am sure this took a good bit of work to figure all out and it is pretty close to times i experience for my properties.

Well done.
